Skill Levels

Introductory:Suggested for registrants who are developing scanning techniques and protocols.

Advanced: Suggested for registrants who have attended prior musculoskeletal ultrasound courses, who are able to demonstrate normal anatomy, and who are comfortable with common pathology (i.e. those who have scanned >100 patients)
About the Meeting
This two-day course will provide dedicated instruction in musculoskeletal ultrasound of the upper and lower extremities including didactic lectures and supervised hands-on workshops with ultrasound scanning of live models. The content of this course will include a comprehensive review of anatomy and pertinent pathology of both upper and lower extremities. Topics will include pathology of joints, tendons, muscles, ligaments, and peripheral nerves. Imaging of inflammatory arthritis and an overview of ultrasound-guided procedures of the hip, knee, ankle, and foot will also be included.
Target Audience
This CME Activity is primarily designed to educate radiologists, rheumatologists, orthopedists, sports medicine physicians, sonographers, and others in the field of musculoskeletal medicine.
Educational Objectives
Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:
  • Utilize ultrasound to assess the upper and lower extremities.
  • Describe the components of upper and lower extremity ultrasound techniques.
  • Identify major anatomical structures of the upper and lower extremity using ultrasound.
  • Recognize common pathology of the upper and lower extremity as seen with ultrasound.
No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.

Registration Information
Tuition includes all course materials, including a comprehensive electronic color course syllabus, daily continental breakfasts, coffee breaks and lunch on Saturday afternoon. Early registration is strongly suggested. There will be a $100 surcharge for anyone registering after November 5, 2019. Minimum and maximum attendance levels have been established for this meeting. If your registration cannot be accepted, you will be issued a full tuition refund.

Cancellations must be received in writing by sending an e-mail to There is a $50 processing fee applied to all cancellations. Cancellations made in writing prior to October 6, 2019 will be issued a refund for the amount of tuition paid less the $50 processing fee. No refunds will be made on or after October 6, 2019.
